Given the popularity of Kingdom Hearts, I really think there’d be a market for, like, a Lord of the Rings style epic fantasy movie that stars Mickey, Donald and Goofy and just plays the premise completely and unironically straight. Hell, bring back Horace Horsecollar – when was the last time he was culturally relevant? – then kill him off for cheap pathos halfyway through the second act. The kids would love it.
